Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) announced the launch of the Cebu City ONE-ACT program, aimed at reducing crime and enhancing public safety. The initiative, part of a broader effort to address rising criminal activity, includes increased patrols and community engagement.
The program was introduced following a rise in reported incidents across the city. Police officials stated that the ONE-ACT plan focuses on rapid response and preventive measures. Officers will conduct regular sweeps in high-risk areas and collaborate with local communities to gather intelligence.
This follows a series of public safety concerns raised by residents. In recent months, there have been reports of theft, vandalism, and petty crimes. The CCPO has been working to improve its presence in neighborhoods where crime rates have increased. The new strategy is expected to be implemented in phases over the next few months.
