A year after Typhoon Tino hit Barangay Lusaran in Cebu City on November 4, 2025, residents have completed the reconstruction of their homes. The typhoon caused widespread damage, destroying over 150 houses and displacing more than 200 families. Local authorities reported that most affected households have now returned to their rebuilt residences.

Rebuilding efforts were supported by government aid and community initiatives. The Cebu City government allocated emergency funds to assist with repairs, while local NGOs provided materials and labor. Many residents worked alongside volunteers to restore their properties, using both traditional and modern construction methods.

Typhoon Tino was the strongest storm to hit the region in over a decade. It brought torrential rain and strong winds, leading to flooding and landslides. The disaster highlighted the vulnerability of low-income neighborhoods, prompting calls for improved disaster preparedness. In the aftermath, officials launched a long-term recovery plan to strengthen infrastructure and emergency response systems.
