Davao City’s City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) has launched Project Pagpaambit, a new initiative aimed at coordinating private donations and support for 13 residential care facilities across the city. The project seeks to streamline the donation process, ensuring that resources reach the intended beneficiaries efficiently.
The CSWDO will act as a central hub for receiving and distributing private contributions, which include food, medical supplies, and other essential items. This initiative follows a series of community-driven efforts to improve support for vulnerable populations, including the elderly and individuals with disabilities.
Project Pagpaambit was introduced after a review of existing donation channels, which were found to be fragmented and inefficient. The CSWDO worked with local organizations and volunteers to design the project, which includes a digital platform for tracking donations and a system for regular reporting. The initiative is expected to enhance transparency and accountability in the distribution of aid.
