Over 186,000 passengers traveled from Sugbo during the long weekend as part of the "Oplan Biyaheng Ayos Undas 2026" initiative. The operation, which began in October, aims to manage traffic and improve mobility during peak travel periods.

Authorities reported a significant increase in ferry traffic as more people opted for water transport to avoid road congestion. The initiative includes additional ferry services and improved coordination between local and national transport agencies.

This is the second year the "Oplan Biyaheng Ayos Undas" has been implemented. Last year, over 200,000 passengers used the program, leading to a noticeable reduction in road traffic. The current effort builds on that success, with enhanced communication and more frequent departures.

The program is part of broader efforts to modernize transport infrastructure in the region. Officials have emphasized the need for sustainable mobility solutions as urban populations grow. No incidents were reported during the operation.
