Representatives from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Tuburan Municipal Engineering Office met on Monday, October 26, to discuss possible actions.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. Announced a cabinet reshuffle on Monday, swapping the heads of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the DPWH. Vince Dizon, who previously led the DOTr from February to September 2025, has returned to the department. Giovanni “Banoy” Lopez, who had been overseeing the DPWH, has taken over as head of the DOTr.

The move aims to accelerate reforms in commuting and infrastructure. Dizon’s return to the DOTr is seen as a strategic decision to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. Lopez’s transfer to the DOTr is expected to bring new perspectives and expertise to transportation management.

This personnel shift follows a pattern of administrative adjustments aimed at improving public services. The DPWH and DOTr are central to the government’s infrastructure development agenda, focusing on road construction, maintenance, and transportation logistics.

The reshuffle reflects ongoing efforts to optimize resource allocation and improve coordination between key agencies. Officials emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum in infrastructure projects to support economic growth and public mobility.
