University of Cebu (UC) faculty members, including a college dean, are set to participate in a five-day teaching and cultural immersion program in Bulgaria. The initiative involves collaboration with Var, a Bulgarian institution, focusing on educational exchange and cultural understanding.
The trip, scheduled to take place over five days, aims to enhance academic collaboration between UC and its Bulgarian partner. The participants will engage in both teaching activities and cultural experiences, fostering mutual learning and professional development. The program highlights the university’s commitment to international academic engagement and cultural exchange.
This exchange follows a recent basketball match between UC and the University of San Carlos (USC), where UC narrowly lost 59-58 in the Cesafi Season 26 men’s tournament. The game, held at the Cebu Coliseum, ended with a controversial referee decision that sparked debate among fans. While the basketball result is unrelated to the academic exchange, it underscores UC’s active participation in regional sports and academic events. The Bulgaria trip represents a strategic move to strengthen UC’s international presence and academic partnerships.
